BUILDING BOOM!
Westcorp’s Phase 2 at Edgeway (along 51 Avenue) is taking shape. When complete, there will be a total of 365 new units across three buildings. The construction is phased across 1.5 to 2 years.
The commercial development along 122 Street has also started. Three buildings are nearing completion and opening this fall. Tentatively, tenants include fast food outlets, a liquor store, a dentist, a pharmacy, a coffee shop, and a daycare.
More info: www.avisonyoung.ca
Michener Park is also seeing new development — row housing and apartments up to 23m tall. More info: uapt.ca/michener-park
BEWARE THE (PLANT) INVADERS!
Not all new “neighbours” are welcome. Creeping bell flower, ox-eye daisy, and others are pretty but invasive. Be a good neighbour and remove them.
